Paid for a loaf of bread in pennies and had "wish sandwiches" for a few days. Wish sandwiches- two pieces of bread, you wish you had something to put between.

I totally paid for Waffle House in change one night. Next time we went there was a "no paying in change" sign.

I once had a Waffle House manager walk up to me every 2-3 minutes and ask if we needed anything else. I think (not sure) he was trying to rush us out so the waitress could get her tip and go home so we just left. Still was kind of a clever move for a 24 hour place to rush you out 20 minutes after you go your food. I'm just not going to give minimum wage employees a hard time on principle.

Man that reminds me of this bu*ger joint I went to with my ex wife. The place was packed but the manager just kept on coming over to us specifically and asking if we needed anything and would just stand there by our table watching us. Eventually I asked him to give us some space, but it really creeped me out.
